Beach Club sits on Resort Drive next to the Reef View Hotel, but in its own separate building right on Catseye Beach — open the balcony door and you are on the sand. Every one of the 57 rooms is beachfront, facing the Coral Sea, with a Coastal Luxury look in white, cream and blue. There is a big king bed and a marble bathroom that keeps a walk-in shower separate from the bathtub. From the balcony, Catseye Beach curves away in a long C shape. This is an adults-only boutique, 18 and over, so the mood is quiet and private — a different world from the 386-room Reef View next door.

Food and amenities

The thing that sets Beach Club apart is the hosted service. A beach concierge sets up your lounger and umbrella on the sand each morning, and the Hosted Cocktail Hour runs every evening 17:00–18:30 with free wine and canapés in the resort lounge — most guests take their glass out to watch the sun drop over the Coral Sea. A full breakfast is included for every room at the Beach Club restaurant, with a menu that changes daily — Continental, hot plate, and Australian fresh fruit and juice — served 7:00–10:30. The private pool sits by the sand; it is adults-only and mid-sized rather than large, but quieter than the Reef View Lagoon Pool. Guests can use every Hamilton Island Resort facility — spa, the wildlife park, golf over on Dent Island, and all the Reef View restaurants.

Location and getting there

We came in on the resort shuttle from HTI, the airport on the island itself, and it was a 10-minute ride to the Beach Club door — no ferry needed. The lobby is small and quiet, with a greeting cocktail waiting rather than a big check-in desk. From here you have the run of the resort: free golf buggy and shuttle around the island, and the marina for the boats out to Whitehaven Beach and Heart Reef.

Things to know before booking

Two real catches. First, the price: rooms start around $494 a night, the most expensive in this roundup, though breakfast and the cocktail hour are baked in. Second, it is adults-only 18+, so families with kids should look at the Reef View instead. And the pool, while pretty, is only mid-sized — if you want a proper swim you head to the Reef View Lagoon Pool next door.
