There are only 12 suites, each done in coastal-contemporary style, and guests say you feel the difference the moment you open the door — these aren't standard hotel rooms. They're spacious, finished in designer-grade materials, and stocked with everything you'd want.

What sets Beach Suites apart is that a handful of suites come with a private plunge pool right on the balcony — something that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else in Byron. Reviewers describe sinking into the water in the evening and looking out over the town's tree line, and call it the thing that makes the price worth it. Every room gets an espresso machine, high-quality linen, robes and designer bath products. There's a concierge, express check-in and check-out, and luggage storage.

Location and getting there

The hotel has free covered self-parking inside the building (no reservation needed) and runs a transfer service to Ballina Byron Gateway Airport (BNK), which is 34.8 km away, about 30 minutes — handy, because Byron Bay has no airport of its own. Things to know before booking

This is the priciest entry in Byron's 4-star group, with rates from around AUD 450 a night. With only 12 suites, peak season (December to February) books out 2-3 months ahead. And note there's no shared pool — only select suites have their own plunge pool, so book one of those specifically if a pool is on your list.

Beach Suites is the one we'd pick for couples and honeymooners who want a luxury suite within walking distance of the beach. If you value privacy and in-town polish over a big resort outside the centre, this is our favourite stay in the heart of Byron.
