People's Square is a 5-min walk, the Four Seasons Water World water park sits about 1.2km off, and local food markets plus a couple of Zhangjiajie's well-known congee shops are within 500m — handy if you want to eat where locals do.

Things to know before booking

Facilities are basic budget-style, so set expectations for a nice room rather than a full hotel. The parking is free public parking out front, not a private lot, and it can fill up in the evening. And like most good-value rooms here, it books out fast in high season, so reserve well ahead.
