In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Rooms carry the same New England beach theme as the rest of the resort, in blue-and-white tones with round wooden headboards and ceiling fans, and they sleep up to 5. They run about 381 sq ft, which — straight talk — is not large for a Deluxe resort. One rhythm reviewers love: wake up, walk into EPCOT before the crowds, then come back to the pool in the afternoon. It works because the back International Gateway entrance is roughly a 5-7 minute walk away.
Food and amenities
The pool is the whole point. Stormalong Bay is a 3-acre pool that many reviews call the best resort pool in all of Walt Disney World — a genuine sand-bottom pool where you walk on real sand underwater, with a lazy river to drift around, a whirlpool, and a tall slide that launches from a mock shipwreck mast (the tallest of any resort pool). Kids can spend all day in it, and crucially it is reserved for Beach Club and Yacht Club guests only, so it never feels as packed as a water park. On the food side, the family highlight is Cape May Cafe and its Minnie's Beach Bash character breakfast, where Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy come around the tables in beachwear (dinner is a seafood clambake buffet). The legendary dessert is the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream — 8 scoops of ice cream with everything on top, served in an actual sink with a bell rung, meant for 4 to share.
Location and getting there
Beach Club sits in the Epcot Resort group on Crescent Lake. You can walk into EPCOT through the back International Gateway entrance in about 5-7 minutes, and walk or take a boat to Hollywood Studios, with the Skyliner nearby. In the evening you can walk over for the EPCOT fireworks and stroll straight back. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, though, need a bus — the walk-and-boat convenience only covers EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Across the same lake you can also walk to the BoardWalk for street performers and carnival games.
Things to know before booking
It is priced at the Deluxe tier, but the standard rooms at about 381 sq ft are not large, and Stormalong Bay gets crowded with long slide queues on good-weather days. In 2026 there is exterior repainting work on the resort, so check for possible scaffolding or detoured walkways when you book. And note that Crescent Lake itself is not swimmable — it is just for sitting by.
Our take
After reading through plenty of real guest reviews, Beach Club is best for pool-obsessed families who plan to focus on EPCOT and Hollywood Studios — you get Stormalong Bay, the best sand-bottom pool in WDW, an easy walk into EPCOT, and the Cape May character breakfast. The trade-offs you have to accept are the price, the smaller rooms, and the bus rides to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. If you prefer a livelier, fairground-style boardwalk right outside your door, scroll down to BoardWalk Inn across the same lake next.
