In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Every room here is decorated differently, so no two are quite alike. Some have cloud-pattern ceilings — trompe-l'oeil sky murals painted overhead — along with Belle Epoque furniture, heavy curtains and floral bedding. Every room comes with air-con, a minibar, a TV and free Wi-Fi. The rooms that face Trocadero Gardens get a clear Eiffel Tower view, especially on the higher floors, but not every room does — so ask for an Eiffel Tower view when you book.
Food and amenities
The in-house restaurant Les Jardins du Trocadero serves good French food for lunch and dinner, plus lighter fare in the afternoon. Breakfast is organic and fair-trade, served every morning — that is the standout here, because this kind of Eco-certification is genuinely hard to find in a hotel this close to central Paris. There is also a jacuzzi to relax in and a small bar for a nightcap before bed.
Location and getting there
The Trocadero area is one of the best places in Paris to photograph the Eiffel Tower — Palais de Chaillot, which gives you the iconic head-on angle, is an 8-minute walk. Trocadero station (lines 6 and 9) is about 7 minutes on foot, and from there you can ride to Bir-Hakeim to see the tower from the bridge, to Champs-Elysees Clemenceau, or to Etoile for the Arc de Triomphe.
Things to know before booking
Not every room has an Eiffel view — you have to request one and confirm it before check-in. The rooms are small, which is normal for a Paris 3-star, so upgrade if you want more space. And there is no pool; the jacuzzi is the only water feature on site.
Our take
Eiffel Trocadero suits couples and travelers who like classic French design in a Trocadero setting — the Belle Epoque rooms, the cloud-painted ceilings and the organic breakfast give it real character. If you want an authentic slice of Paris at a 3-star price, around $194 a night, this is a solid pick.
