Hilton Pattaya

Hilton Pattaya has the prettiest Pattaya Bay view in town from its 34th-floor infinity pool — it wins on a prime location wired into CentralFestival and an icon-level view, more than on the private-beach resort feel that Centara Mirage leans into.

In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Hilton Pattaya opened in 2010 at 333/101 Moo 9, Pattaya Sai 2 Road, inside the CentralFestival Pattaya Beach tower designed by Pia Interior. The hotel occupies floors 17 to 34 and holds 304 rooms, starting with a Deluxe Room at 42 sqm — bigger than the 5-star standard in Pattaya — and running up to the 130 sqm Royal Suite with a curved 180-degree balcony. The look is contemporary Thai in brown, gold and cream, with a Hilton Serenity bed and 250-thread cotton sheets. Every room has a balcony facing either the city or Pattaya Bay, and the marble bathrooms come with a rain shower, a separate tub and Crabtree & Evelyn amenities. Real reviews on Trip.com (9.2/10) and Booking (8.8) mostly say the balcony view is well worth the money, though a few mention the bathrooms starting to feel dated — the hotel did renovate some of them in 2023.
Food and amenities
The heart of the place is the 34th-floor infinity pool with its panoramic Pattaya Bay view, open 06:00 to 22:00, with a jacuzzi and poolside cabanas — the shot everyone comes up to take. Drift Bar, the rooftop bar on floor 34 beside the pool, pours signature cocktails for about $11-14, half-price during happy hour from 17:00 to 19:00, with a full sunset over the bay. Edge Restaurant, the buffet on floor 14, runs about $24 per person at breakfast and $47 at dinner, with a sea view and Thai, international, Japanese and Italian dishes. Horizon Restaurant on floor 34 does fine dining and a bar with a set menu around $80 per person, and the Asian-inspired eforea Spa offers a 90-minute signature treatment for about $109, or $205 for couples. The fitness center is open 24 hours. Overall score: 9.2/10.
Location and getting there
Hilton Pattaya sits at 333/101 Moo 9, Pattaya Sai 2 Road in the middle of Central Pattaya, wired into the CentralFestival Pattaya Beach tower so you ride the elevator straight into the mall. Pattaya Beach is one minute across the road, and Walking Street is a 15-minute walk along the beach or a songthaew ride at under a dollar a person. Royal Garden Plaza is 5 minutes on foot, and Bali Hai pier — where the boats leave for Koh Larn — is an 18-minute walk or 5 minutes by songthaew. U-Tapao Airport (UTP) is 30 km away, a 45-minute drive, around $20-26 by Bolt or $34 by taxi. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is 130 km out, a 2-hour drive — about $7 per person on the Bell Travel Service coach, or $71-86 by Bolt.
Things to know before booking
Straight talk to help you decide. First, the bathrooms and fixtures are starting to age after 16 years open; the hotel renovated some floors in 2023, so ask for a Deluxe Renovated room to get a fresh one. Second, it runs above the Pattaya average — high season (November to February) can hit around $430+ a night, and New Year pushes past $570, so book two to three months ahead. Third, the 34th-floor pool gets busy in the early evening as guests come up for sunset photos; for a calmer swim, go between 06:00 and 09:00 or 14:00 and 16:00. Fourth, there can be some noise from CentralFestival on the lower floors (17 to 22) on the mall side — ask for a high floor, 28 or above, on the sea side for a quieter room and a better view.
Our take
Hilton Pattaya is the city's hard-to-beat icon — a 34th-floor infinity pool over Pattaya Bay, a direct link into CentralFestival one elevator down, a balcony in every room, the rooftop Drift Bar, and a position in the middle of Central within walking distance of the beach and Walking Street. If your trip is a couple chasing an IG-worthy view who want to shop on at CentralFestival, or a business traveler who wants the center, this is the cleanest fit in town. If you would rather have a quiet private-beach resort, look at Centara Grand Mirage or Cape Dara instead. Overall we give it 9.2/10 — best for couples, the photo crowd, and business travelers who want to be in the heart of the city.

The Honest Verdict — pros & what to know
- The best location in Pattaya: you walk to both the beach and the mall in one minute. Pattaya Beach is just across the road and CentralFestival is one elevator ride down.
- The 34th-floor infinity pool is the hotel's signature, and it photographs beautifully at sunset over the bay. Drift Bar sits right beside it on the same floor.
- The front-desk team gets called out in recent reviews — friendly, efficient at check-in, and fluent in both Thai and English.
- Every single room comes with a balcony facing either the city or Pattaya Bay, and the bay-view rooms feel like real value for what you pay.
- The Edge breakfast buffet is wide-ranging — Thai, international, Japanese and Italian — and you eat it on floor 14 with a sea view.
- The bathrooms and in-room fixtures are starting to show their age — the hotel opened in 2010, 16 years ago. Some floors were renovated in 2023, so ask for a Deluxe Renovated room when you book to get a fresher one.
- It runs above the Pattaya average. In high season (November to February) rates can hit around $430+ a night, and over New Year they push past $570, so book two to three months ahead.
- The 34th-floor pool gets crowded in the early evening when guests come up for sunset photos. If you want it calmer, swim from 06:00 to 09:00 or 14:00 to 16:00, and note that lower rooms on the mall side (floors 17 to 22) can catch a little noise from CentralFestival.
