The rooms are modern-design with real wood floors, warm dark-grey tones, soft beds and proper cotton sheets, and the bathrooms are clean with a rain shower. There are about 205 rooms, and many come with a private balcony and a sitting nook behind floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the city — the kind of detail hotels at this price almost never have.
Food and amenities
There is a Chinese restaurant doing good Henan and Cantonese dishes, a lobby cafe that is comfortable to work in, and service robots that deliver to your room — drinks, snacks, extra towels. You also get free parking, a business centre, a 24-hour front desk, free luggage storage, and free tea and small snacks in the lobby in the morning. Staff are friendly with basic English, and Google Translate handles the rest fine. Wi-Fi is fast in every room. The service and cleanliness scores sit at 9.7-9.8, numbers that are hard to find even in 5-star hotels.
Location and getting there
The hotel is on Longhai West Road in Zhongyuan district, on the west side of central Zhengzhou. It is a few minutes' walk from Longhai Xilu metro station, and you can ride into the Erqi area — Erqi Square and the memorial tower — in 4-5 stops. Zhengzhou railway station is about 6 km away, a 10-12 minute drive. Nearby there is Zhongyuan Park for a morning walk and a local food market serving real Hui Mian noodles at local prices. Unlike the CBD, which can feel like any other city, this side has the flavour of a Zhengzhou where people actually live.
Things to know before booking
It is a 4-star, so there is no pool or spa like the two luxury hotels above it. It sits on the west side of the city, not the walkable old-town area, so you will use the metro to reach the sights. And with limited rooms and such a high score, it fills up fast in high season — book ahead, and request a balcony room when you do.

M Hotel Zhengzhou is best for couples who care about room design and atmosphere, solo travelers who want a top safety and quality score, remote workers who need a comfortable, affordable place to work, and anyone heading to the Shaolin Temple using Zhengzhou station as a base.
