In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Sanouva Da Nang Hotel runs about 83 rooms, each styled a little differently from the next. The Deluxe rooms come in around 27 square metres, done in warm wood and brown tones, with a small balcony and a long bench, a minibar, a 43-inch LED TV and a safe; the bathroom is finished in marble with a rain shower. Rates start around $43 a night — roughly 1.1 million VND. The feel is warm and easygoing in the boutique way, but the service runs at full 4-star level, which is a tidy balance.
Food and amenities
What separates Sanouva from its peers is how generous it is with the extras. Every guest can book a free 30-minute massage after check-in — comparable rates around town run about 400,000 VND a session. A free afternoon tea buffet lands in the lobby every day from 3:00 to 4:30pm, with Vietnamese and Western sweets, fruit and a spread of teas. The breakfast buffet changes about 40% of its menu daily rather than repeating itself — guests on a three-night stay reported rotating through banh xeo, mi quang and beef pho across the mornings.
Location and getting there
On site there's an outdoor pool on an upper floor, a full-service spa, a sauna and a gym that stays open late. The location is the real edge here — it's only about 0.6 km, or roughly 8 minutes on foot, to Han Market, and 10–15 minutes to the Dragon Bridge and the Son Tra night market. You can walk back after the Saturday-night fire-breathing show without bothering to call a Grab. The streets around the hotel are packed with local restaurants and cafes, and Danang airport is only about 2.5 km away. Real guests on Trip.com rate it 9.0/10 from over 270 reviews.
Things to know before booking
Sanouva isn't on the beach, so getting to My Khe means about a 3 km ride rather than a walk out the door. It sits inside the Old Town, where the streets are fairly narrow and larger vehicles struggle to reach the entrance. And because it's boutique-scale, some of the room types aren't especially roomy — worth checking the category before you book if space matters to you.
Our take
Sanouva Da Nang Hotel is at its best for couples, for anyone who likes a warm, well-run boutique, and for travelers who want to wander the markets and graze local spots. Set it against the Vanda Hotel over by the Dragon Bridge: Vanda leans modern, rising 19 floors with free bicycles, while Sanouva leans warm and boutique with a stack of freebies. Plenty of couples in the reviews say the place looks after them "like a special guest" — and mean it.
