In-Depth Review
Rooms and decor
Every room at The Venetian Macao is a suite, starting at 70 sqm, with a living room set apart from the bedroom, a soft king bed, and a marble bathroom holding both a tub and a separate shower. Some rooms look out over the Cotai Strip and the gardens. Guests keep saying the rooms run bigger than they expected — big enough for the kids to run around indoors — and reviews single out the cleanliness and the quality of the bed linen.
Food and amenities
The casino here is the largest in the world at 546,000 square feet, with every game type going. The Grand Canal Shoppes hold 350+ stores, from luxury labels to everyday shops, and the Gondola Ride floats down a recreated Venice canal inside the building — a favorite with families. Add 3 outdoor pools, a large spa, and 30+ restaurants covering Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and international food, and you rarely have a reason to step outside.
Location and getting there
It sits on the Cotai Strip, right beside The Parisian Macao and Four Seasons Macao. A free shuttle runs to the ferry terminals, Taipa Ferry Terminal and Macau airport, and you're an easy hop from Galaxy Macau and MGM Cotai, also on Cotai. Reaching the old-town center and the Ruins of St. Paul's takes about 15-20 minutes by car.
Things to know before booking
Rooms start around $243 a night, clearly more than an ordinary Macau hotel. The resort is genuinely massive, so the walk from your suite to the casino or the shops adds up. And the mood is loud and crowded — great energy, but not the place if you want calm and quiet.
Our take
The Venetian Macao fits families, couples chasing a plush stay, and anyone who wants everything in one place. The price is high, but what you get is more than a room — it's a destination in itself, and the 8.8/10 Agoda score says guests think it earns the splurge for a once-in-a-while stay.
