When is the best time to see the pandas?+
Arrive around opening, roughly 7:30–9:00, which is feeding time, so the pandas are awake and visibly eating bamboo. They usually sleep after noon. Avoid long holidays as it gets very crowded.
Is Sichuan food very spicy?+
It's spicy with the signature tongue-numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorn, but most places adjust the level. Hotpots usually have a divided pot, so you can pick the clear, non-spicy side if you can't take much heat.
How many days are enough in Chengdu?+
2–3 days for the panda base, Kuanzhai Alley, and Jinli. Add another day if you want to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha or Mount Emei.
