Ranked #8 on our Maldives list, Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa is the pick for travellers who want familiar, Thai-fluent service in an Indian Ocean setting. It is an adults-only (18+) 4-star resort run by Thailand's Centara group, sitting on the private island of Giravaru in North Male Atoll, close to the capital. You choose between Beach Villas and Water Villas with steps that drop straight into the sea off the deck; every room has air-con, a minibar and a flat-screen TV.
